Rebranding challenge - Storytelling with Data (April)

It's started with Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic's book and grew immensely to be an entire community. They provide challenges and exercises on a monthly basis which is super fun to do! You won't do your daily tasks, and when you step out of your comfort zone you just will grow. It's easily makes you think outside the box to tackle dataviz from a different angle.
In April this challenge was all about rebranding the provided data and show through data visualization what the company represents at first glance.
I chose our beloved supermarket brand in the Netherlands, Albert Heijn. You can spot the color blue plastic bags from miles away and it has a very strong marketing and PR presence in the country.
Fun fact, preparing for this exercise, I learnt that during the covid pandemia and lockdowns Albert Heijn took down it's "mascot" the hamster. They didn't feel that the message of hoarding would be suitable for the current time.
